New World Record in live

Interview of the new world recordman, Walter GATE by John DOEUF.

J.D. : Firstly, Congratulations Walter! You made us live an awesome moment. What did you feel during your throw?

W.G. : Thank you John, that is a very special moment in my life. I was already a triple world champion but that record was my ultimate goal. During these incredible critical seconds, i saw my whole life passing before my eyes. I remembered my 4 years of hard-training, my divorce due to my passion, all my dudes who never stopped to believe in me. I'm so proud that all these sacrifices were not for nothing.

J.D. : That's true that the life of a high-level sportsman is so complicated. I have a last question for you before letting you go: did you doubt after your first attempt, refused by the referee? It should have been so difficult mentally at this time, isn't it?

W.G. : Yeah, that's right. The first attempt was so frustrating. I conceed that i was in fire and i was able to bomb at any moment. But, the important thing is that i succeeded to focus again on my goal.

J.D. : That's how we recognize the great champions! Thanks for your time Walter, enjoy your success!

OSTFF's internationalization

On demand of number of foreigners met on previous events, we will take part in events around Europe. For the first year, we decided to focus on four main events, all world-known:

- Beerfest in Munich

- Pampelune’s feria

- Pizzafest in Napoli

- Friesfest in Bruxelles

We’ll see afterwards if the OSTFF is well-accepted abroad and if this kind of action should be developed wider.
Moreover, with the recent election of Rio as the host of the 2016 Olympic Games, we are going to attend the Carnaval of Rio in order to prepare the coming of this incredible event.

Season 2010

For the new season coming out, the OSTFF wants to be even more present in all the Ferias in the South West of France. It means that the OSTFF will show up on the following events : Vic-Fezansac, Condom, Bayonne, Brassac, Dax, Mont de Marsan, Tyrosse.
In addition, we wish to take over market shares on the main Ferias in the South East. Market studies make appear that there is a lack of genuine and friendly group in this kind of event. That's why the OSTFF is going to try to penetrate two new markets : Nîmes and Arles. If it turns out that these tries are a success, our group will orientate its strategy by intensifying its presence on this territory.
